Hydropass: Future of Smart Irrigation
Hydropass: Revolutionizing Micro Irrigation in India
ACMO Water Technology India Pvt Ltd, in collaboration with AC.MO Srl, a member of the AVK Group and a global leader in water management solutions, brings the Hydropass system to India. Developed after extensive research, investments, of AC.MO Srl and over 70,000 successful installations worldwide, Hydropass is a revolutionary Smart Irrigation System that offers unmatched efficiency in monitoring and managing large irrigation networks. This compact and innovative solution is set to transform micro-irrigation in India, replacing traditional OMS systems with a more streamlined and effective alternative.
What is Hydropass?
Hydropass is an advanced, all-in-one system integrating a flow meter, automatic control valve, and flow limiter in a compact, single-body design. It operates entirely on battery power with a lifespan of 5 to 10 years, eliminating the need for external power supply. Designed for seamless operation, the system ensures precision water control while optimizing resource usage.
Key Features and Configurations
The Hydropass system is a compact version of the OMS, ideal for installation at every 5 hectares, and is composed of:
- Pressure Control Valve – Ensures smooth, gradual operation to prevent overpressure.
- Flow Meter – Equipped with IP68 protection for durability and reliability.
- Flow Limiter – Regulates flow as per hydraulic requirements.
- Pressure Transducer – Ensures real-time monitoring of system pressure.
- Door Switch – Provides alarms during theft or vandalization.
- RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) – Enables local monitoring and control with battery backup of up to 10 years.
- Antenna – Transmits data using the license-free 865 MHz–867 MHz band in India.
- Air Valve – Releases trapped air, ensuring smooth operation.

Connection Options:
Hydropass is available in standard threaded straight, threaded elbow, and flanged connections. Customized configurations can be provided to meet specific field requirements.
Management and Communication
Hydropass can be managed manually, as a stand-alone system, or with advanced communication modules for real-time data collection. Users can operate the system through:
- Hydrokey: An electronic battery-operated key.
- Hydropass App: Simplifies management with user-friendly graphical and tabular interfaces.
The integrated LoRa WAN module ensures data transmission over long distances, supporting an advanced metering infrastructure.

Benefits for Users and Water Authorities
For End Users:
- Improved agricultural yields.
- Lower costs with accurate water consumption monitoring.
- Independent access for multiple users.
- Simple and efficient system management.
